1 MCOM IB and 2 MCOM IB from St. Joseph’s College of Commerce and 1 BBA 'SF' and 1 B.Sc CHZ from St. Joseph’s University headed to ‘Home of Hope’ a destitute house as part of their Regular and special activity completion. The program commenced with a documentary showcasing the impactful endeavors led by Mr. Auto Raja and dedicated volunteers.
Students were then taken to the ladies wing and children’s wing who greeted our students with their warm smile and presence. Students spent quality time with the kids and interacted by teaching a few things. On interaction with the children our students understood and were made aware of the fact that why some children end up being in the destitute house and how we could help them. Later, the students were taken inside the orphanage and a staff member showed them the hospital where people in need are being treated and introduced them to the children of the orphanage. With the money collected, they were able to donate 10kg of rice, biscuit packets, sanitary napkins, and a 5 kg atta pack. Subsequently, the students curated a cultural program and engaging activities for both the children and members of the organization. Refreshments were then provided for the children, and to conclude the visit, the students participated in cleaning the organization's premises, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the enriching experience.
With this visit the students quoted that “Our faith was restored in humanity”.
